WE READ CRYPTO TWITTER SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO
01 / WHYWhere the points went
The fairest yardstick is a plain index of the 10 biggest coins. Start from what it made, add each side's bets, and you land on what each side actually made.
Each day a coin scores (portfolio weight − index weight) × (coin's move − index's move); days are chained so the bars add up exactly. Cash counts too: it costs points when the index rises.
02 / HOLDINGSWhat they hold now
Each portfolio is a virtual $10,000, rebalanced daily to match what that side is posting about. Press play to watch the holdings change day by day.
03 / STANDINGSStandings
Each day goes to the side whose portfolio did better. Each calendar quarter is a contest of its own; whoever is ahead when it ends wins it.
04 / LATESTLatest moves
What each side just started talking up, and when several people on one side made the same call at once. Nobody is named; it's always "2 of 7 women".
Two or more people on one side making the same call on a coin within 48 hours.
05 / BEHAVIOURHow they trade
Habits read from the posts: how concentrated, how risky, how loud.
We rerun everything leaving out each account in turn. If one loud person were behind the gap, the leader would change.
06 / PUNDITSThe crowd vs the pundits
Can ordinary people beat the famous voices who are supposed to be in the know? We score the pundits' coin calls exactly like the panel's, then put them head to head.
Each pundit: follow them, or fade them
07 / METHODHow it works
- 01 / PANEL
People who say on X, in their own words, that they're a man or a woman, plus volunteers who join below. Everyone passes the same rules, then a random draw picks the panel.
- 02 / READ
Every post is read for coins, direction and conviction. "Probably nothing" counts as bullish. It always does.
- 03 / VOTE
One account, one vote, however loud. Each vote is that person's last two weeks of calls; the side's portfolio is the average.
- 04 / TRACK
A virtual $10,000 rebalances daily, using only the previous day's posts. No leverage, no fees.
Join the panel
Add your own calls to the experiment. Pick your side and prove the handle is yours with one post. You enter the pool for the next panel draw, screened by the same rules as everyone else; if you're drawn, your public crypto posts count toward your side's portfolio. You're never named on the site. Leave any time.
Whether you volunteered or we found your public posts, you can make us stop. Enter the handle, post the one-time code from that account so we know it's yours, and we'll stop using it and delete what we hold on it within 2 days. See the privacy policy.
